Another year in college may pay off well for Carson Beck, according to a report. The former Georgia quarterback recently announced his move to Miami after initially declaring for the NFL draft. Now, CBS Sports reports Beck could get an NIL package worth $4 million next season. If true, the deal would put him on the NIL level of Duke quarterback Darian Mensah, who CBS reported received was believed to be a two-year, $8 million deal after transferring from Tulane.Beck was the top player in the transfer portal after going 24-3 at Georgia, but that came after a disappointing season with the Bulldogs that ended when he had UCL surgery on his throwing elbow.Prior to this season, Beck was expected by some to be the No.1 pick in the upcoming draft.Instead, Miami’s Cam Ward — who Beck figures to replace with the Hurricanes — and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders emerged as the top quarterbacks in this year’s class. At Miami, Beck will join a football team that not only needs to replace Ward, but an athletic program in which his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, is a guard on the women’s basketball team.Beck will look to build on the numbers he put up with the Bulldogs, which include 7,912 yards and 58 touchdowns in his two seasons, at Miami. The biggest question will surround how his arm responds to the surgery he underwent last month.Beck is not expected to be able to resume throwing until March, which no doubt influenced his decision to take his name out of the draft. He’ll be entering his final season of college eligibility, so expect Beck to be among the names talked about heading into the 2026 NFL Draft....
