Moonshiners star Kenny Law dead at 68: Shine on brother

Kenny Law, star of the Discovery Channel series “Moonshiners,” has died.He was 68.“With sorrow, we announce that Everett ‘Kenny’ Law passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones,” Law’s family announced in a statement posted to Facebook on Wednesday.“Thank you to everyone so far for the outpouring of love, support and prayers,” the statement concluded.In a separate post, the family wrote, “We love you and are already lost without you! Please look over us as you always have! SHINE On Brother!”A third-generation moonshine distiller, Law his cousin, Henry Lee Law, owned and operated Law’s Choice Distillery in Franklin County, Virginia, where they made and sold legal moonshine.

Law died in a local hospital, Henry told TMZ on Thursday.The reality TV favorite suffered a multitude of health issues in recent years, according to Henry, including a heart attack in 2024, diabetes, and a blood infection that combined with his other ailments led him to be hospitalized a month ago.
