LSU QB Colin Hurley found unresponsive, hospitalized after terrifying car crash

LSU’s backup quarterback Colin Hurley was injured in an on-campus crash around 2:45 a.m.Thursday and found unresponsive.ESPN reported that the freshman signal-caller crashed his Dodge Charger into a tree around 3 a.m.

local time and was later taken by EMS and fire department personnel to a Baton Rouge area hospital.The school told ESPN that it couldn’t comment on the incident due to Hurley’s age at 17. “We are working through proper protocols with his family before we can have any comment,” LSU spokesman Zach Greenwell said, per the outlet.“Colin would like to thank the first responders, the incredible doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Health and the many Tiger Fans for their care and compassion,” Hurley’s family said in a statement to ESPN.“Colin is resting and is stable while more tests and care are being administered.
