MTA worker, 66, randomly punched in the face on subway platform: police

A 66-year-old MTA worker was randomly punched in the face while she was standing on a Manhattan subway platform Friday afternoon, cops said.The attacker pummeled the on-duty worker without warning inside the West 148th Street and Lenox Avenue Subway Station just after 1 p.m., according to police. The victim told cops she was standing on the platform when the man approached and clocked her.She was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem for treatment.Police released a photo of the suspect that shows a hulking man wearing a hooded jacket fleeing through a turnstile.On Monday, the city plans to start installing two cops on every subway car overnight.Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on X @NYPDTips.All calls are strictly confidential....
