Beauty is in the eye of the beholder — and the calculator.Using the “Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty” — a measurement used to determine the ideal face or body composition — facial cosmetic surgeon Dr.Julian De Silva has revealed the most beautiful supermodels according to science.“We all wonder who is really the most beautiful of all the supermodels and this is the closest we can get to an explanation based on facial symmetry and classically beautiful features,” the London-based doctor shared in a blog post.“The models were ranked at the peak of their fame so that it was a level playing field and we had the fairest way of gauging who was most beautiful according to the Golden Ratio.”While most supermodels were just shy of perfection, Kate Moss, 51, came in first, scoring over 94%.
According to De Silva, the model’s facial features were the closest to scientific perfection, achieving high scores across the board in terms of eyes, brows, chin, jaw and lips.But, De Silva added, “her two stand-out features” were her jawline and chin.“Kate Moss is the undisputed queen of the catwalk and the most super of all the supermodels,” he said.“She was assessed at the peak of her beauty, just after her first Vogue cover in 1993.
Her near-perfect jawline and chin make her stand out as an icon of natural beauty.”Cindy Crawford, 58, gave Moss a run for her money, though, coming in at more than 93%.The infamous supermodel, known for iconic ads with major brands like Pepsi, “had the highest score overall in three categories — for her chin at 99.6%, just 0.4% off perfection, eye position (99.4%) and forehead (98.6%),” De Silva wrote.“She would have won if she had not scored poorly for her lips (84%).”Gisele Bundchen, 44, came in third with Jourdan Dunn, 34, trailing in fourth due to being “marked down” for her nose shape and forehead size despite being one of “the most beautiful of the current crop of supermodels,” De Silva explained.Me...
