The Issue: President Trump’s initiatives to fix the crisis in sanctuary cities and at the southern border.I praise President Trump for keeping his promise to the American people (“Roundup shock and awe,” Jan.23).Trump has started raids in sanctuary cities to deport migrants and has plans for 10,000 troops at the border.

This will be aided by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.It is about time illegal immigrants who commit crimes like murder, theft and rape leave the country.I applaud a president like Trump who truly cares for the American people.Frederick BedellBelleroseThe criminal illegal aliens being the first of those deported is a difficult job for Tom Homan.
