Security guards slashed, slugged in scuffle at Times Square nightclub

Two security guards were slashed in the face and a third slugged during a rowdy scuffle at a Times Square nightclub early Sunday, police sources said.The bloody Manhattan dispute stemmed from a beef over bag checks at the front door, sources said.The violence broke out shortly after 4:30 a.m.at the Circo Restaurant and Nightclub on Broadway between West 48th and West 49th streets, with cops getting a 911 call and responding to find the guards bloodied from the slashings.Two security guards — a 21-year-old woman and 26-year-old man — were slashed in the face.

A person of interest was taken to the 18th Precinct stationhouse for questioning.Both victims were brought to Bellevue Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.A third victim was slugged in the face and refused medical attention at the scene, cops said.The nightclub is part of a $4 million Latin entertainment complex that opened at 1604 Broadway last year and includes a Pizza & Bites eatery to lure hungry and fun-seeking partygoers....
