A Minnesota woman was scrolling through TikTok when she plowed her car into a retired grandfather, killing him, cops said.Mariska Nunn, 20, was charged with felony criminal vehicular homicide on Jan.15 — more than four months after the broad daylight bloodshed.Nunn told cops that she had her phone in her lap and was watching a TikTok video as she drove home from her boyfriend’s home in Detroit Lakes around 12:15 p.m.

Dean Chadbourne had been crossing an intersection in Detroit Lakes when the Nunn allegedly slammed into him.The 81-year-old grandfather was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries just 45 minutes after being struck.Phone records show that Nunn was using the TikTok app for up to six minutes before the horrifying crash, the last of which was viewed at 12:14:05 p.m.She called 911 at 12:15 p.m.Nunn was not formally charged until last month.

She has since been released from custody.According to his obituary, Chadbourne was a Minnesota native and retired middle school teacher and business owner.“Dean was a kindhearted, ‘mostly’ patient man.

He would do anything for anyone who needed assistance.He would never hesitate to go out of his way for others.

Anyone who knew him had only good things to say about him,” his loved ones wrote.“Perhaps his favorite thing was spending time with his grandson Kayden.

He was his pride and joy.He attended every sporting and other events he could.
