Chris Hunter, who made his fortune with the caffeinated alcoholic beverage Four Loko before moving to plant-based nutrition drink Koia, and his holistic nutrition consultant spouse Melanie, have bought a $10.5 million waterfront home in Miami.Four Loko, was a hit among younger generations more than a decade ago that capitalized on the club-kid craze for vodka mixed with Red Bull — until the FDA effectively shut it down in 2010.Koia, meanwhile, is a popular plant-based, high-protein, low-sugar beverage; Melanie is also the founder of Alii Supplement. The seller is MK Developers’ Eyal Kessous, who built the new-construction home, at 901 NE 75th St.in Belle Meade, a gated community. At 7,198 square feet, the six-bedroom, 7½-bathroom residence is anchored by a living/dining area with an open chef’s kitchen, along with a family room and a built-in bar with an island.
There’s also a private guest wing on the ground floor.
