(and mayoral challenger) Zellnor Myrie at a Thursday rally outside Kings Hospital, denouncing a memo advising city public-hospital staff not to put themselves in harm’s way should ICE agents come knocking.Legal Aid Society lawyer Kathllen Klift called the memo “deeply alarming.”“Why are we here at a hospital? Churches were safe havens, schools were safe havens.Those safety nets were taken away,” bleated City Councilwoman Rita Joseph (D-Brooklyn).Reality check: It’s a federal crime to intentionally conceal, harbor or shield from detection a person who is in the United States unlawfully. That the Biden crew had no desire to seek out any of them doesn’t grant some magic immunity now.Nor are feds looking to do sweeping raids of schools, hospitals or any other public facility.They’re going after “asylum seekers” who’ve harmed innocents — in a sane world, every city official would be doing everything possible to help.
