Two men were killed execution-style in a hail of at least 40 bullets in Philadelphia early Monday as the city celebrated its Super Bowl win, but cops say they haven’t connected the crime to the football event.Cops responded to the intersection of Claridge Street and Adams Avenue in the northeast section of the city around 3:30 a.m.after reports of a person with a gun, Philadelphia police said in an email to The Post. They found a 32-year-old man at the scene with “multiple gunshot wounds” to the face and torso and a second victim in his late 20s or early 30s with similar wounds, the department said. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.According to WCAU-TV News, the 32-year-old victim was found slumped in the driver’s seat of a Jeep that was riddled with bullets, and the second victim was found on the ground on the passenger’s side.Police said the shots appeared to have been fired from two semiautomatic guns, according to the outlet. No arrests have been made.Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told WCAU that the shooting was captured on video.“You can see a white sedan — four-door, appears to be a Honda with heavy tinted windows — pull up next to the parked Jeep,” Small told the outlet.
“Someone gets out of the driver side, someone also gets out of the passenger side, and they begin firing shots into the jeep.”The shooting came as the city was rocked by rowdy celebrations after the Philadelphia Eagles trounced the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday, sending massive crowds into the streets.Asked if the double-homicide was linked to the celebrations, a rep for the Philadelphia Police Department told The Post, “The motive has not been determined at this time.”...
