Chilling video shows knife-wielding attacker lunge at priest during Sunday service

A chilling livestream video captured the moment a knife-wielding perp ran up and lunged at a pastor in the middle of Sunday service in Canada.Footage showed the unsuspecting pastor slowly walking up to the altar while singing a hymn mid-way through service Sunday night at the Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg.Suddenly, a man in a bright yellow puffer jacket came into view and could be seen fumbling around in his pocket as he approached the 38-year-old preacher.The terrified pastor suddenly ran screaming from the altar just as the knifeman lunged at him with the blade, the footage shows, with police saying the pastor escaped unscathed.The intruder plunged the knife into the altar before calmly taking a seat at the back — as fellow churchgoers rushed forward to help, cops said.Pawel Olownia, 50, was detained by an off-duty cop and hit with multiple charges — including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.“It’s a very rare incident and I think everybody involved is quite shaken up as a result,” Winnipeg police spokesperson Constable Stephen Spencer told CBC News.“Nobody expects that when they go to church on Sunday or any day of the week, that somebody’s going to be there with a weapon and try and attack somebody in the church.”...
