Sharon Osbourne forbid Ozzy Osbourne to join the pirate’s life.The British TV personality, 72, said on Wednesday’s episode of “The Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan” podcast that she didn’t let her husband, 76, star in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise back in the day.“Do you want to know the biggest mistake I ever made with Ozzy? He got offered to go and read for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ and I’ve never said this to anyone, and I said no,'” Sharon shared.“Now wouldn’t he have been perfect?” Sharon added.Corgan, 57, said of Ozzy, “He would have been perfect! Maybe it’s not too late, but God bless.”Sharon then pointed out that another rock legend appeared in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.“Because when Johnny [Depp] wanted Keith [Richards] to be a pirate, you remember?” Sharon asked.Richards, 81, played Depp’s on-screen father, Captain Teague, in the “Pirates” franchise.

The Rolling Stones musician appeared in 2007’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and 2011’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”Ozzy has appeared in several movies including “Private Parts,” “Little Nicky,” “Austin Powers in Goldmember” and “Ghostbusters.”The Black Sabbath singer and Sharon have been married since 1982 and have three children together: Aimee, 41, Kelly, 40, and Jack, 39.Ozzy has two other children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.In 2016, Sharon learned that Ozzy was having a four-year affair from scouring through his emails.

She kicked Ozzy out of their marital home and they briefly parted ways before getting back together.In 2019, Ozzy opened up about his infidelity, hailing Sharon as a “god” for taking him back.“Sharon and I have never been as close as we are now.It’s great.
