The Issue: Gov.Hochul’s move to implement new oversight measures to monitor Mayor Adams.The only dictator in this sordid mess surrounding Mayor Adams is Gov.

Hochul (“Stringing Eric along,” Feb.21).During her televised speech — disguised as a review of the mayor — she said she would seek to limit his powers by installing a deputy inspector general to oversee his actions.Does this mean that if the mayor allows ICE to work with law enforcement to go after illegal-alien criminals, the inspector could somehow veto it? So who would really be the mayor — Adams or the inspector general?The whole thing is a charade meant to increase Hochul’s power over the city.
