Timothée Chalamet is winning — and not just at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he took the best actor prize on Sunday night.The 29-year-old SAG victor for “A Complete Unknown” — in which he transforms into Bob Dylan — is also winning over indie artists who are calling out Chalamet’s name in song.Singer-songwriter Kate Eberstadt is the latest to give titular tribute to the star of “Call Me By Your Name,” “Dune” and “Wonka” on her new single “Timmy Chalamet.”On the breezy, bittersweet breakup song, she sings, “I wanna drink champagne with Timmy Chalamet/Alone in the church in the middle of the day/Go to confession, tell him what I wanna say/I wanna drink champagne with Timmy Chalamet/Chillin’ in the chapel watchin’ ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’”The song was inspired by the Brooklyn-based artist’s real-life split.“The person that I had been dating and living with and I thought that I was going to marry broke up with me over the phone,” Eberstadt, 33, told The Post.
“I was spiraling and just felt lost.“And I had recently re-watched ‘Call Me by Your Name,’ and was just so moved by Timothée’s performance in that movie… especially the fireplace scene where he’s crying by the fire.It just felt like pure heartbreak happening right onscreen, and I felt like he would understand what I was going through.”But Eberstadt says that she isn’t necessarily pining over Kylie Jenner’s man in the song.“It’s definitely up for interpretation,” she said.
