Yellowstone actress to auction Maui estate worth about $45M to make a quick move to Alabama

“Yellowstone” actress Barret Swatek and her husband, retired hedge-fund manager Adam Weiss, are saying goodbye to Hawaii and heading back to her roots in Alabama. And as they bid farewell, prospective buyers can bid for their home. The couple is putting their sprawling eight-bedroom Maui estate up for auction as they prepare to raise their newborn daughter, Dixon, closer to family, according to the Wall Street Journal.Swatek and Weiss snapped up the beachfront property in 2021 for $45 million and poured millions more into renovations, artwork and custom furnishings. But after welcoming Dixon in 2024, their dream home no longer felt like the right fit. “We just feel like we’re too far from them and from Barret’s family, and I think the baby kind of changed the equation on that,” Weiss told the Journal. The 21,700-square-foot estate sits on Keawakapu Beach near Wailea, a high-end enclave in South Maui.Originally designed by renowned Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, the home features bold geometric designs, vibrant hues and dramatic lighting effects.
