Legen-dary sitcom actor Neil Patrick Harris shows off wild new look on Dexter: Resurrection set in NYC

Wait for it…Neil Patrick Harris looked legen-dary in recent photos from the set of the “Dexter” revival. Harris, 51, was spotted filming “Dexter: Resurrection” with Michael C.Hall, 54, in New York City on Wednesday. The “How I Met Your Mother” alum will play a character named Lowell.
Details about his role are under wraps, but he was wearing a brown wig that looked similar to Hall’s hair, so perhaps he could be a long-lost relative. While a serial killer show is a departure for Harris, who is best known for comedy roles, he’s not a stranger to bloodier fare, as he played a creepy character who memorably got his throat slit in “Gone Girl.” In a 2018 interview with The Post, Harris said, “I like being able to not be known for just one type of thing. In trying to craft a career of longevity, you want to try and not be the go-to guy for just one specific flavor.”He also admitted, “In my real life I have a pretty dark and acerbic sense of humor…I like the ‘Gone Girl’ mentality where it seems like a romance and then someone gets their throat slit.”Other stars in “Dexter: Resurrection” include Uma Thurman, “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage and “Jessica Jones” star Krysten Ritter. Hall played Dexter in the original Showtime series from 2006 through 2013.
Dexter was a Miami man who worked for the Miami Metro Police Department by day, analyzing blood spatter in crime scenes.By night, he was a serial killer who targeted other killers as his victims.
Through his job, he often found out about killers who slipped through the cracks of the system and evaded consequences for their actions. His cop father saw that he was a budding sociopath, and taught Dexter to channel his urges into more productive path. Hall reprised the role in “Dexter: New Blood” in 2021, which followed Dexter after the events of the show.He appeared to be fatally wounded at the end, which is why the revival series is called “Resurrection.”...
