4 muggers bash man, 40, with hammer, punch boy, 16, in vicious attack inside NYC pool hall: cops

A four-member mugging crew bashed a 40-year-old man with a hammer and slugged a 16-year-old boy during a vicious attack inside a Queens pool hall, cops said Thursday. The suspects barged into the Tian Yi pool hall on Union Street near Northern Boulevard in Flushing minutes before 10 p.m.Feb.
22 and demanded that the two victims get on the floor, police said. The brutes then brandished a hammer and struck the older man on the head before snatching about $1,000 from his jacket pocket, authorities said. They then punched the teen victim in the face and pushed him down to the ground, cops said. The older victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, while the teen was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said. It is unclear whether the wounded pair worked at the pool hall.The group of young men — seen in surveillance grabs released by the NYPD early Thursday — fled, heading east on Northern Boulevard, cops said. The first attacker, described as having a light complexion and slim build, was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, eyeglasses and black shoes.The second suspect is also described as having a light complexion and slim build and was wearing glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, gold jacket, black pants and black boots.The third assailant, who also has a light complexion and slim build, was last seen wearing a black jacket with white fur on the hood, dark blue jeans and black boots.The fourth fiend has a dark complexion and slim build and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black shirt, cops said.
