Utah judge accused of sending obscene images, videos in graphic sexual chats with underage girls

A longtime Utah judge – who prides himself on his active involvement with youth – allegedly sent sexual images and videos to young girls on an online messaging platform, officials reportedly said.Kevin Robert Christensen, 64, was nabbed Thursday after the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force uncovered several sexually explicit chat threads with young children on his KIK account, according to the West Valley City Police Department, multiple outlets reported.The Box Elder County jurist’s sick chats date back to last September, authorities said.He is also accused of using the platform to discuss his “vivid” and “detailed” interest in children with other adults, with whom he solicited graphic images of minors, Longview News-Journal reported.“The position of trust he holds in the community and the actions he undertook while in this position significantly undermine the confidence of the community in the legitimacy of the criminal justice system,” the police report read, according to Fox 13.Authorities launched their investigation on Feb.28 after learning that Christensen was using the platform to talk about sexually abusing children – later finding a plethora of inappropriate chats with underage girls.Investigators said the jurist allegedly engaged in “graphic sexual chats” with a user who claimed to be a 13-year-old girl on Nov.
