The Issue: Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace on DJ Daniel becoming an honorary Secret Service agent.MSNBC commentators Nicolle Wallace and Rachel Maddow showed how despicable they are as they denigrated President Trump’s recognition of 13-year-old brain cancer survivor DJ Daniel (“Disgraceful Dems sinking even lower,” Miranda Devine, March 6).Wallace sarcastically referenced Jan.6, 2021, saying, “I hope he never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trump’s supporters.” And Maddow remarked that it was disgusting because the president had made a spectacle out of the celebration.This was not an occasion to score cheap and uncalled-for political points.Michael HeadleyBrooklynThe disgraceful comments made by Maddow and Wallace regarding a 13-year-old cancer survivor who was honored by President Trump were unjustified and should result in their termination.By axing Maddow, MSNBC would save $25 million a year — paid to someone who normally works only one day a week.Wallace has spread toxic disinformation for over two decades.

While serving as White House communications director for former President George W.Bush, she helped spread the lie that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
