Sharon Stone claims she was unexpectedly cut from Another Simple Favor: For no reason at all

They didn’t do her any favors. Sharon Stone slammed the movie “A Simple Favor” for allegedly cutting her role from the sequel. “I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it ,” Stone, 67, commented under an E! News Instagram post about “Another Simple Favor.”The Post reached out to Amazon MGM Studios for comment. “Another Simple Favor” is set to be released on Prime Video on May 1.Blake Lively, 37, Anna Kendrick, 39, and Henry Golding, 38, are set to reprise their roles from the first movie, which came out in 2018.

Paul Feig will return to direct. “A Simple Favor” was a black comedy / mystery about widowed mommy vlogger Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick), who becomes friends with Emily (Lively), the glamorous mom of her son’s classmate.Emily is also married to Sean (Golding). When Emily goes missing, it sets off a series of events that push Stephanie and Sean into a relationship, as Stephanie investigates what happened. The first movie ends with Emily revealing herself to be alive – and she’s sent to prison –  Stephanie becoming a part time private detective, and Sean finding more success as a professor. The sequel is about a murder happening at Emily (Lively’s) lavish wedding in Italy. Stone’s casting hadn’t previously been reported, so it’s not clear what role the “Basic Instinct” actress would have played in the sequel movie. Stone’s social media post is just the latest drama in the press tour of “Another Simple Favor,” as there was a rumor that there was tension between Lively and Kendrick — amid Lively’s legal drama with her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni.On March 9, director Paul Feig denied these rumors at the premiere of “Another Simple Favor” at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival.
