Christie Brinkley-linked anti-aging skincare brand files for bankruptcy

Christie Brinkley-linked skincare brand SBLA Beauty – which sells so-called “scientific” anti-aging products – filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The award-winning brand is perhaps best known for its non-invasive Eye Lift Wand and Neck, Chin & Jawline Sculpting Wand, which Brinkley called one of her best skincare secrets.Brand owner SBLA Inc.filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday in the Southern District of Florida.The Boca Raton, Florida-based skincare company has between $1 million and $10 million in debt, according to the filing.“SBLA Beauty has consistently maintained and will continue to be a widely successful brand with a loyal consumer following,” founder Randi Shinder told The Post in a statement.
“This is a reorganization and restructuring to ensure profitability.”SBLA’s products are still available for sale on its website and Amazon.The brand, which launched in 2018, claims the serums in its wands can melt fat and generate millions of new skin cells overnight without injections. Supermodel Brinkley partnered with the brand in 2021, saying at the time that she has “seen such improvement, I can’t even tell you.”“My jaw was on the floor when I saw what it did for me!” she said in a 2021 Instagram video about SBLA’s anti-aging wands.Brinkley has not been affiliated with the brand for quite some time, a representative told Daily Mail.The model’s agent declined to comment.Shinder, a beauty industry vet, founded SBLA Beauty “to deliver products that are based on science and technology” and help shoppers “feel their best without invasive procedures, pain, or downtime,” she said in a statement on SBLA’s website.Shinder launched her first company, Clean, in 2022.
