Bourbon Street Hustler to face murder charge in death of Super Bowl reporter Adan Manzano

The woman accused of luring a sports reporter to his death at a hotel near New Orleans faces a murder charge, local police announced Tuesday.Serial fraudster Danette Colbert was arrested last month after she accompanied 27-year-old Adan Manzano – a Telemundo correspondent covering the Super Bowl – into the Kenner, LA, hotel room where he was later found dead. Now, Kenner police have booked Colbert on a second-degree murder charge, the New Orleans Advocate reported.Security camera footage shows Colbert entering a Comfort Inn Suites with Manzano, then leaving by herself, re-entering, and leaving again on the day he was found dead.Benzodiazepine was found in Manzano’s system, an initial toxicology screening showed.Police also said Colbert racked up charges on Manzano’s credit card at stores around New Orleans. After her arrest, Colbert earned the nickname “Bourbon Street Hustler” for her long history of theft and credit card fraud, including two schemes that involved drugging and robbing men.“She’s a career criminal … Ms.Colbert has quite a record and rap sheet for confidence games, access device fraud, and robbery schemes,” Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley told reporters after her arrest. This is a developing story.
