She drove the internet wild — and this police officer nuts.The Georgia sorority girl whose “hot mugshot” went viral Wednesday told The Post she was arrested because she “accidentally” started speeding immediately after getting ticketed … for speeding.Lily Stewart, 20 — whose flawless arrest photo made the internet swoon — said she was cuffed for the double oopsie while driving to a birthday bash on a rural road March 8.“It was the second time speeding that got me arrested,” she told The Post.“[The cop] placed me in handcuffs and put me in the back of his car.”Stewart, who is a member of the Alpha Chi sorority, said a Georgia State Patrol officer first pulled her over for driving roughly 75 mph in a 55 mph zone not far from Athens.“The officer saw me while he was driving the opposite direction.
He was like, ‘You’re speeding’ and he was super friendly, and I was super friendly, and he wrote me a ticket,” the University of Georgia student said.“As soon as I got back in the car, I pulled out — and accidentally started speeding again.By the time I caught myself, he pulled me over and arrested me.”It was easy to unwittingly drive too fast on the country road, she said, because “it was completely empty” with “cows grazing cows on either side.”Stewart’s mugshot — which features her with a bright smile and spotless makeup — charmed social media users, with fans offering to pay her bail and one gushing, “They done locked up Miss America!”But the student said she’s been laughing off the attention, which has included both praise and jokes about her glamorous appearance.“I think it’s hilarious.
