The Issue: Chief Justice John Roberts’ rebuke of President Trump for his attacks on the judiciary.Chief Justice John Roberts has finally had enough of President Trump’s relentless attacks on the judiciary (“The judicial glower at prez,” March 19).His stern rebuke of Trump’s latest denigration of a federal judge was both necessary and long overdue.Roberts rightly pointed out that for over 200 years, impeachment has never been an appropriate response to judicial rulings.Trump thinks he is above the law, a self-proclaimed king.Roberts has done a public service in reaffirming that the executive branch is not the only branch with authority.
