Creighton star Steven Ashworths 9-month-old son cheers him on at March Madness

Creighton’s littlest fan has quickly become the biggest star on the first day of the round of 68 of March Madness. Tommy Jay Ashworth — the 9-month-old son of Blue Jays senior guard Steven Ashworth — stole the show during Creighton’s 89-75 win over Louisville during the first round of the NCAA Tournament as he cheered on his dad from the stands in the most adorable fashion possible. The young Ashworth was captured by the CBS broadcast cameras wearing a blue Creighton shirt and noise-canceling headphones while screaming and clapping in the arms of an adult. Steven Ashworth put up a game-high 29 points on 6 of 13 shooting from the field and 4 of 8 from 3-point range in an impressive 40-minute showing. The guard and his wife, Peyton, welcomed Tommy Jay into the world on June 2, 2024.Steven glowingly discussed his son days after in an interview with WOWT NBC Omaha. “Super excited to welcome another Blue Jay into the family for sure,” Steven said.
