A hardcore rock band abruptly split because of their guitarist’s alleged “heinous acts,” which included stealing thousands of dollars for an “unbelievable amount” of OnlyFans subscriptions weeks before performing at CoachellaNew Jersey-based Gel announced the sudden breakup to their fans in a lengthy social media post on Wednesday.“Gel is no longer and band, and therefore will not be playing any of our currently scheduled upcoming shows,” the statement read.The band alleged that its former guitarist, Anthony Webster committed “such heinous acts” in his attempt to better his personal music career that caused “irreparable damage” to the band and its other members.“It’s affected us as human beings more than we can even attempt to explain, to the point of being completely unable to do the band anymore,” the post continued.The band consisted of Webster, singer Sami Kaiser, bassist Matthew Bobko, guitarist Madison Nave and drummer Alex Salter, according to Masslive.com.Webster allegedly stole tens of thousands of dollars from the band after he gained sole access to the group’s bank account.He is accused of using the funds to pay his rent, personal food orders and “whatever else he really wanted.”“He also spent it on a truly unbelievable number of OnlyFans purchases and mysterious CashApp transactions likely in the same lane,” the band claimed.Webster is accused of leaking a series of nude photos of other band members to the website Reddit, but was caught when he didn’t cover his tracks.The band said it couldn’t determine a reason for the purported indecent pics.Webster was described by his former bandmates as a “little f–king baby” who can’t act like an adult.“Absolute misery and reconsideration for anyone and everyone around him (well, except for the people who he wanted to impress and would feign being a nice guy to,) the band said.The group likened their involvement with Webster to being in an abusive relationship as ...
