Exclusive | NYC women stunned after strange man sets up bedroom complete with mattress in their backyard

He’s living on Avenue Zzz.Three roommates who just moved into an East Village apartment were shocked to look out their window and find a strange man snoozing on a bed in their tiny backyard.“Guys, what the f–k? What the actual hell? What is happening?” one of the flabbergasted young women said in a TikTok video showing the bizarre al fresco scene.The sleeper was atop a crisp, white mattress and plush blanket set up between a picnic table and a garden, carefree as can be — as if he were in his own furnished bedroom.

His phone and tablet were scattered nearby, presumably also taking a rest.The woman sent the footage to her roommate, a college student with the handle @rheisabel, who shared it on TikTok in a post that has since generated more than 300,000 views.“Update on our move from the West Village to the East Village,” she captioned the video.The tenant spotted the mystery man two days in a row, she said in the comments, and was especially shocked because she and her two roommates, having moved in earlier this month, are the only tenants living in the building so far.

He hasn’t been seen since.The other apartments in the building are currently under construction, the woman said in her post.But it was not clear why the man decided to sleep there.

“This can’t be real,” one shocked commenter said.“He looks comfy,” another chimed in.But most of the comments slammed the woman for sharing the video of the sleeping man.

“Leave him alone,” many said.The woman declined to share further information with The Post because she “actually got a ton of hate.”...
