A hulking lunatic spit on an NYC woman — twice — in a horrifying incident on a subway in lower Manhattan.Samantha Mennella was riding the 6 train from Canal Street and looking down at her phone when she noticed someone approach her.“This man spits a huge loogie — it lands right on my chest,” a disgusted Mannella, 29, said in a horrifying TikTok video last month that has gotten more than 450,000 views.She was too afraid to move — so he spit on her again.“In that moment, I was like, ‘This is it, this is how I go.There’s nothing I can even do to fight this huge, 6-foot-3 man,'” she said in the video.She jumped up and ran off at the next stop, but he followed her, screaming, “Why are you scared of me?”She hopped onto another train and lost the loogie-man, but has felt “on edge” taking the subway ever since.The FiDi resident and Florida native debated sharing her experience but wanted to warn other women.

“Let this be a reminder to stay vigilant on the subway, because our city is unsafe,” she said in the video.She now wears sweats to hide her tight-fitting workout clothes and blonde locks after teaching Pilates, and avoids taking the subway after 9 p.m.“I was surprised by how many other people have shared similar experiences,” Mannella told The Post.She didn’t file a police report.

“I think a lot of these incidents go unreported, which makes the statistics claiming the subway is safe feel misleading.”Misdemeanor assaults in the subway have soared 7% so far this year compared to last.They are increasingly driven by erratic behavior, some of which is not necessarily a criminal offense, according to reports.Spitting on someone can be classified as assault, particularly if it involves unwanted physical contact, but can also be considered aggravated harassment, also a misdemeanor....
