Joe and Jill Biden take in Othellos opening night in NYC in first major outing since leaving White House

Former President Joe Biden and his wife Jill hit the Big Apple Sunday night for their first major outing since leaving the White House — with the pair soaking up the opening night of Broadway’s “Othello.”The 82-year-old former president was among the VIPs in attendance as two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, took to the stage in the timeless Shakespeare tragedy.Dressed in a black tuxedo, the 46th prez gave a quick wave as he hopped out of his motorcade and was ushered into the Barrymore Theatre in Midtown Manhattan ahead of the star-studded performance.His wife, who donned a shimmering teal blue dress, was spotted tailing closely behind.

The former first lady later posted a snap of the pair on Instagram with the caption “date night.” “Riveting… brilliant ..BRAVO!” she wrote alongside a photo of them posing inside the theater in the wake of the curtain dropping.The pair posed, too, for an on-stage snap with the entire cast and were pictured shaking hands with the two leading men.
