Russell Wilson, Ciara take in Knicks game along celebrity row next to Chris Rock, Ed Sheeran

Russell Wilson and Ciara are in a New York State of Mind. The new Giants quarterback and his music star wife spent Wednesday night embracing their new home by taking in a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden to wrap up a day that included press conferences and a visit to Big Blue’s facility in East Rutherford, N.J. The pair got a star-studded welcome as they made their way to their courtside seats, getting dapped up by Knicks superfan Spike Lee before sitting down near comedy icon Chris Rock and musician Ed Sheeran. Ciara and Sheeran also shared a hug at their courtside seats on Wednesday night. Later in the evening, Wilson was shown on the MSG video board and received applause from the crowd before he signed and launched a football into the stands for a lucky fan. Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns stopped by to meet the QB after the Knicks’ 126-113 loss to the Clippers and posed for a photo with Wilson and Ciara before presumably heading back to the locker room. The Giants signed Willson to a one-year deal worth up to $21 million that includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money. Wilson will start this upcoming season on a team that includes Jameis Winston, Tommy DeVito and potentially a rookie on the quarterback depth chart. Wilson told reporters Wednesday that he expected to be the starter and will “come in here and be ready to rock and roll every day.” He also revealed that he loves embracing the underdog role. “Sometimes I love the underdog mentality,” Wilson said.“That’s kind of been my approach every day of my life.
I don’t know, maybe being 5-[foot]-11, I don’t know what it is, and people telling you [that] you can’t do something, I love challenges.I love adversity.
I love all that stuff.”...
