Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez holding rallies across the country.The Democratic loss to President Trump left behind a political wreckage (“In Dems’ civil war, one side is doomed,” PostOpinion, Isaac Schorr, March 27).Instead of facing the real cause, Democrats are stubbornly blaming it on messaging, which was never the issue.Now, one of their solutions is to push Rep.Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen.

Bernie Sanders to lead the charge.This will backfire.Again, the problem was never messaging, but the message itself.

Voters heard it and rejected it; now Democrats refuse to accept that.Also, AOC and Sanders aren’t just Democrats, they’re progressive Democrats.Sanders calls himself a socialist, and AOC is his protégé: They’re like Chancellor Palpatine and Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars: We don’t need a Darth Vader on our hands.
