Life really is like a box of chocolates.Tom Hanks, 68, went viral after making a surprise cameo in his son Chet’s new music video.The song, titled “You Better Run” and released by Chet’s band, Something Out West, on Friday, March 28, saw the 34-year-old dressed as his father’s iconic character Forrest Gump and reenacting several scenes from the beloved 1994 Oscar-winning film.While Chet appeared as Forrest Gump in a scene aboard the shrimping boat “Jenny,” as well as in another during a cross-country run across America, the video took an exciting turn when Tom himself appeared on the famous bus stop bench central to the hit movie.Even more touching was one of the music video’s final scenes when Tom and his son – who shared an infamously checkered past – smiled and embraced each other.Listeners rushed to the comments section of the music video on YouTube to rave about Tom’s surprise cameo.They also applauded Chet’s musical skills.“You know he surprised his dad with this,” one person wrote.“He has the same running movements his dad did in the movie,” another commented.
