The Issue: A mother and her two daughters who died after being hit by a driver with a suspended license.The death of three innocents, including two children, in a horrific crash is a tragedy beyond imagination (“Crash tragedy,” March 30).The underlying tragedy is that Miriam Yarimi is a self-centered woman, driving with a suspended license.If she has any conscience, she will regret and feel guilt for what she caused for the rest of her life.If she cannot grasp the magnitude of what she did, then a long jail sentence will perhaps remind her.Martin GarfinkleStaten IslandI would like to know how Yarimi, the assailant in Saturday’s horrific car accident on Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn, was able to operate her vehicle with $1,345 in unpaid fines.
