Suits star Gabriel Macht loves his anonymity after fleeing the US: I want to be invisible

Gabriel Macht is suited for living off the gridThe “Suits” alum, 53, who packed up and left the US with his family, says he loves the “anonymity” that comes with living in a secret location.“I didn’t want it to be a real big reaction,” Macht told People of the response his move received.“I wanted it to be boring.”The actor, who played high-powered NYC lawyer Harvey Specter in the hit legal drama, ditched the US with his wife, Australian actress Jacinda Barrett, and their two children Satine, 17, and Luca, 10.They decided to avoid disclosing their new location to the world despite an influx of questions from fans, friends and curious minds.“I am absolutely in love with my anonymity, and so when I’m working and I’ve got the suit on and someone wants to know something, I try my best to give a moment,” he told the outlet.

“But when I’m not working, I don’t want to be known.”“I want to be invisible and all that stuff.I just start thinking about my kids.

I just don’t want them to be uncomfortable,” he added.Macht first opened up about his decision to move out of the US in January, saying he prefers to keep his moves “under wraps.”“I got out of town and we’re exploring the world,” he said at the time, noting, “I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps.”Macht took a “long break” from acting to focus on his family after the USA Network series ended in 2019.“Right before COVID, we wanted to take the kids out of school and homeschool them,” said Macht, who starred in “Suits” for all nine seasons from 2011 to 2019.“But then we got stuck and so we were in Manhattan. That just wasn’t doing it for us.”Macht and his family decided the time had come to leave the Big Apple and exit stage left.
