Maniac shoves man, 61, onto NYC subway tracks in fit of rage over victim smoking on platform: sources

A maniac shoved a 61-year-old man onto Brooklyn subway tracks in a fit of rage when he spotted the victim smoking on the platform, cops and sources said. The victim was standing on the northbound D train platform at the Atlantic Avenue – Barclays Center station around 11:50 p.m.Saturday when a complete stranger confronted him for smoking, authorities and sources said. The two men argued before the suspect pushed the smoker onto the roadbed, police said. Good Samaritans jumped to the victim’s aid and helped him back up onto the platform, cops said. Luckily, the victim was not struck by a train, and none were entering the station at the time, police said. The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.The alleged shover had not been caught by Tuesday. Police on Monday night released footage of the brown-haired, goateed suspect, with the top of his hair dyed blonde, roaming around on the platform. He is shown wearing a black jacket over a white hoodie, ripped blue jeans and white sneakers....
