Gender reveals have gone professional.Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott wore a pink band around his forearm during his first at-bat in Saturday’s game as a way to announce to friends that they are having a baby girl.Ryan Stevens, who customizes cleats and other footwear, and his wife are the parents expecting a child who came up with the idea for a televised gender reveal, according to the Phillies broadcast on NBC Sports.The announcers commented on how much “pressure” that put on Stott and how he could’ve worn the blue band and made the parents paint and theme their nursery for a boy.Stevens admitted that the plan was “a little nerve-wracking,” according to the broadcast.The soon-to-be father has customized more than a dozen pairs of cleats for Stott alone since 2023, according to BillyPenn.com.He also reportedly works with Philadelphia stars Cooper DeJean (Eagles) and Tyrese Maxey (76ers).“ITS A GIRL!!!
