Trump admin planning grand parade on Armys 250th anniversary and presidents 79th birthday, DC mayor says

President Trump may finally be getting a blowout parade — and on his birthday, no less.Washington, DC, officials have been in talks with the Trump administration about holding a grand parade on June 14 — which is the Army’s 250th anniversary, as well as the president’s 79th birthday, Mayor Muriel Bowser said Monday.Planning for the parade is still “early stages,” but the procession is expected to start in Arlington, Va.at the Pentagon and span the four-mile stretch to the White House, according to details from Bowser and the Washington City Paper.
“I understand that I think it was Homeland Security; maybe the White House reached out to our special events task force, which is what most people wanting to do a parade do in the district,” Bowser told reporters Monday.“So I would say it’s at its early stages.
