Carrie Coon offered a terse response to Meghan McCain’s “The White Lotus” criticism – before responding to rumors she left Marvel over problems with her pay.The “Gilded Age” actress addressed McCain’s issue with Season 3 of the hit HBO show on Monday during an interview with Variety.When asked if she was “surprised” by “how invested” McCain was in her character’s storyline, the actress offered a cold, two-sentence comeback.“I hope Meghan enjoyed the finale,” told the outlet.“I’m glad she’s watching the show.”Coon, 44, and McCain, 40, have been fighting on social media over their political differences.The “Fargo” actress, who plays lawyer and divorcée Laurie in the latest season of “The White Lotus,” said that “people like Meghan McCain and her community are really gratified to see a conservative person on television” during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on April 2.Coon’s character is a Democrat vacationing in Thailand with two of her closest friends.
