Ilya Sorokin exits Islanders game early in latest goalie question mark

Now Ilya Sorokin may be as well.Sorokin did not come out for the third period of Tuesday night’s match against the Predators, getting replaced by Marcus Hogberg after 40 minutes, and was not on the bench.It’s possible the Russian, who had back surgery last summer, hurt himself on Michael McCarron’s goal at 13:25 of the second, when McCarron landed on his shoulder after scoring.Sorokin is the only Islanders goalie to be healthy all season, with Hogberg dealing with a broken hand and Semyon Varlamov an undisclosed lower-body injury that has sidelined him since Black Friday.The Islanders have just five games left in their season after Tuesday and are on the cusp of being eliminated from playoff contention....
