Scottie Scheffler and wife Merediths infant son steals show at 2025 Masters

Just because Scottie Scheffler is competing for his third Masters title this week at Augusta National doesn’t mean he’s the real star of the show.On Wednesday, the reigning Masters champion took in the annual Par 3 contest with wife Meredith and their infant son Bennett, whose birth was announced last May.In sweet scenes from the family-centric event, where the loved ones of the pros serve as caddies, Bennett matched mom Meredith in a white caddie suit as he gripped dad Scheffler’s club.Meredith, who has been married to Scheffler since 2020, skipped the 2024 Masters as she awaited Bennett’s arrival.Scheffler, 28, was peppered with questions about the couple’s early labor plans as the tournament got underway.“As far as her going into labor, I wouldn’t say I’m very concerned, we haven’t seen any of the early signs, but pregnancy is weird and it can happen at any time. But, yeah, open lines of communication and she can get ahold of me if she needs to,” Scheffler said after the first round in 2024.Upon winning his second Masters in three years, Scheffler told Meredith: “I’ll be home as quick as I can.”The couple announced Bennett’s birth a short time later.
