Cops fatally shoot woman who pointed gun at them in upstate NY

A​ woman was killed early Saturday after allegedly pointing a handgun at state troopers who were responding to a reported domestic dispute, police said.The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m.as state troopers arrived at a home on Forrest Drive​ in the Orange County town of Deerpark​, in upstate New York near the Pennsylvania border.Officers found a man on the front porch who told them a woman inside the home had a knife and a gun.When the woman emerged minutes later, she appeared to point a black handgun at cops — and two of them opened fire, state police said.The woman was taken to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis and later died.This is a developing story....
