“I’m from the Bahamas, I’m used to the warm weather.That’s probably the coldest I’ve ever played in, this past week.
Especially to go six games in a row like that.But at the end of the day, this is my job and this is what I’m paid to do, go out there.“In my contract, it doesn’t say I don’t play in less than 40 degrees, so I gotta go out there and do my best every day.”After playing his home games in Miami for the first four and a half seasons of his big league career, Chisholm has had to adjust to a new normal of starting the season in chilly conditions (even last October, The Bronx did not get this cold).The schedule has not helped, either, with the first Yankees road trip swinging through Pittsburgh and Detroit.Chisholm seemed more comfortable on Sunday, joking that he could have played with no sleeves, unlike the past week, when he was playing in as many layers as possible and trying different remedies to stay warm.“A lot of Vaseline — shoutout Vaseline, send me some,” Chisholm said.
