JJ Redicks profanity-laced screams heard on TV broadcast during Lakers pivotal playoff moment

You didn’t even have to listen closely to hear Lakers coach JJ Redick losing his mind on the sidelines during a 94-85 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of their first-round series Tuesday night. While struggling to get his team set up for an inbounds play during the third quarter of a 62-51 game, Redick screamed, “What the f–k is going on?” as he called a timeout and walked onto the floor.“Jesus f–king Christ. What the f–k are you guys doing? Come on,” Redick said while he angrily walked past guard Austin Reaves and wing Dorian Finney-Smith.Warning: Expletive lanuageAfter the game, Redick denied being perturbed with his team, instead calling his visceral reaction “not frustration, just coaching.”“When we were organized in the right spots, I thought we ran some good stuff,” Redick said.
“I thought we missed some open 3.(Reaves) got some great looks.
Other than some disorganized plays, we played good offense tonight. As a coach, you can see it coming when the other side of that is on the horizon, and it was building, so I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page.”Redick continued yelling in the huddle while looking at Rui Hachimura, among others, although those soundbites were not audible as the television broadcast went to commercial break. The team responded to his tirade rather positively, as the Lakers’ lead, which had been as high as 22 points and dwindled to 11 at the time of his timeout, ballooned back up to 20.LeBron James joked about his former podcast partner’s reactions.“We understand JJ is going to spaz out from time to time,” James said after the game.
The Lakers and Timberwolves are now tied at 1-1 in the best-of-seven series as they turn to Minnesota for a pivotal Game 3 on Friday....
