Steve Cohen urges Mets, fans to keep riding wave after latest win: Something special happening

The Amazin’s won their seventh straight game on Wednesday afternoon with a dramatic walk-off win in the 10th inning to sweep the Phillies at Citi Field.Steve Cohen, in the hours after the victory, took to X and reveled in the victory, though he did caution that things might not always be this fun.
“We need to keep riding this wave,” Cohen wrote.“There will be mean [reversion] at some point but there is something special happening at Citifield.
So much fun.”The latest fun came in extra innings with the Mets down by one before Pete Alonso smacked a game-tying double and Starling Marte dunked a broken-bat single to center to send the Mets to their third walk-off win of the season and second on this homestand after Francisco Lindor won Friday’s game in the ninth inning with a homer.Cohen took to social media after that game and expressed similar joy.
“Citifield was rocking last night,” he wrote.“Big crowd and a (Francisco)Lindor walk off.
Come on out everybody and join the fun!”The “big crowd” has been a theme for the team during the last seven games, with each contest — including 36,863 at Wednesday’s matinee — having at least 35,000 on hand in Queens.The Mets are now 18-7 with a .720 winning percentage, which is tops in all of baseball.They are also sixh in MLB in average attendance at 36,579.They play the Nationals on Friday in Washington....
