Lawyers reveal theyll claim Sean Diddy Combs was a swinger, not a rapist as he turns down plea deal from feds

Sean “Diddy” Combs will argue at his upcoming racketeering trial that he was merely a “swinger” and not the depraved sex fiend feds have made him out to be, his lawyer revealed Friday.“There’s a lifestyle, call it swingers or whatever you will, that he thought was appropriate because it was common,” Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said at a pre-trial hearing for the disgraced music mogul in Manhattan federal court.“Many people think it’s appropriate because it’s common,” Agnifilo added.Judge Arun Subramanian ruled from the bench that Combs’ lawyers can bring up the swinger argument, but that they cannot cite other examples of prominent people believed to have engaged in such a “lifestyle,” or who have allegedly hired sex workers.Federal prosecutors also revealed for the first time Friday that Combs rejected a plea offer made in advance of his May 5 trial date.The 55-year-old Bad Boy Records founder faces racketeering and sex trafficking charges, with prosecutors alleging he forced lovers into drug-fueled, days-long sex marathons dubbed “Freak-Offs,” and ran his company as a criminal enterprise.He faces up to life in prison.Federal prosecutors have said in court papers that witnesses taking the stand at an 8-to-10-week-trial will give “graphic testimony” about “years’ worth of beatings, drug-fueled coercive sex marathons, and multiple rapes.”Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is expected to testify against him, along with three other alleged victims who will use pseudonyms when they take the stand....
