Bill Owens exit from CBS and more: Letters to the Editor April 27, 2025

Kudos to CBS for “allowing” executive producer Bill Owens to “quit” as a result of President Trump’s $20 billion lawsuit against “60 Minutes” (“CBS Big: Eye Quit,” April 23).Owens is the absolute epitome of “fake news” as illustrated by his team’s deceptively editing the interview with Kamala Harris — apparently in hopes of gaining voter support for her run as the Democratic presidential nominee.Like it or not, Trump has been saying for years that many media outlets are biased in their reporting — and Owens is a perfect example of that.Hopefully others take heed of CBS’s experience.
