Sammy Hagar shades Alex Van Halen over 21-year feud knows why he wont speak to him

They don’t rock with each other anymore.Alex Van Halen hasn’t spoken to his former Van Halen bandmate Sammy Hagar in 21 years. And he didn’t even mention the singer’s name in his 2024 memoir “Brothers.”Hagar — who replaced original lead singer David Lee Roth as the frontman of Van Halen from 1985 to 1996 and then again from 2003 to 2005 — believes that a big reason for the bad blood between them is the Van Halen drummer not being able to perform as he once did.“I think Al’s angry because I’m out doing it, and Mike [Anthony, former Van Halen bassist] and I are out doing it, and he can’t,” Hagar told Rolling Stone.
